Warm bread.
Cold butter.
Fifteen to eighteen minutes at 425°F and the Multigrain Pullman comes out of your oven the way it came out of ours — oats toasted, crumb steaming. Butter it while it's hot. That's the entire brief.
This month the butter's on us: an 8 oz block of Ploughgate cultured butter, free with any box.
Closer to cheese than to the supermarket block
Cultured, then churned
The cream sits with live cultures for a full day before it ever sees a churn. That is where the tang comes from, and it is the step industrial butter skips.
Coarse sea salt, folded in
Not dissolved. You get the crunch in a few bites and the flavour in all of them.
Wrapped by hand
In kraft paper, in North Bennington, Vermont. It arrives frozen alongside your loaves and keeps for months.

The honest answers
Is the butter actually free?
Yes. It goes into your cart alongside the box at $15, and an automatic discount takes the $15 straight back off at checkout. You will see both lines, so nothing is hidden. No code to enter.
Do I have to subscribe?
No. Choose one-time and the butter is still free. Subscribers pay $20 less per box and 20% less on every add-on after this one, which is why most people start there — and you can cancel after the first delivery.
Is it free on every delivery?
One per customer, on your next delivery only — not on repeat deliveries. Through September 30. After that it is a normal add-on at the subscriber price.
What about The Entertainer Box?
That one already ships with a block of Ploughgate butter every time, so there is nothing to add. It takes $15 off the box at checkout instead.
When will it arrive?
Orders ship frozen from Fall River, Massachusetts, and land in one to three business days anywhere in the continental US. We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, PO boxes or internationally yet.
Does frozen bread actually taste fresh?
Each loaf is frozen within hours of the bake, which stops the staling clock where most bread's begins. Fifteen to eighteen minutes at 425°F from frozen (10 to 12 for baguettes) and it eats like it came out of the oven that morning.
Good bread deserves good butter.
Pick a box and the block goes in with it, free. Shipping is free too, and you can cancel after the first delivery.
